New Double Cab Vehicle for SAFE/Gogo Grandmothers

A number of weeks ago it seemed impossible that the vehicle the staff needed could be found or purchased. A new Toyota double cab truck was over $70,000 dollars in Malawi, because of duty on new vehicles and extra on double cabs. But the Lord had Moira's eyes fall upon a used one in the newspaper. It was priced at $33,000 and only had 15,000 miles on it... but by the time someone could go check it out in Lilongwi, two and a half hours away it was sold. The seller showed us another truck with more miles, some repairs, no canopy... but a truck! Meanwhile back at Gogo Grandmothers here in the U.S. Bobbie Johnson was going over the books and the amount in the account never taken for transportation needs which we have allocated a percentage for. (no vehicle... no village visits!) We had $22,000 we could send... but what about the remaining $11,000.

Everyone started praying... in Malawi and here and checking leads with family and friends to raise the funds.

Back in Malawi the seller of both trucks found out we had cash to purchase is and told us he would hold the first truck for us!.... that week totally unknown to us, Betty Day (the Day's daughter in law) had asked her pastor in Virginia if she could hold a car wash to raise money for a car for the Days. (Their car was also on it's last "tire") The pastor said no, but there was some money set aside in a fund and they could send that... we suddenly received a check for $11,800 wondering where it had come from... heaven? When it was sorted out...the Days had the money go to the double cab... that is sooo their hearts... God will supply their car next... in His time.

Attached is a picture of the new vehicle! These are but the works of the hands of the Brethren in the US with the help of the Soverign Lord of heaven and earth to the people of Malawi! Thank you very much!
Words fail us but perhaps we can only try to draw everybody's attention to Paul's wonderful prayer in chapter 3 of his letter to the Ephesians from verses 14 to 21:
 
"For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strenthen you with power through his spirit in your innerbeing, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or immagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to hom be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."
