Home for a Homeless Gogo (Grandmother)
By By Leslie Lewis

When Judy Wills and I visited Kondanani village, a gogo (grandmother was pointed out to us sitting under a tree. She had no home. Judy later asked about her and told our staff about her need and the need for Flossie, a child headed household there who was going to loose her home. Our staff member Ben found a group to build homes for them and the dedication of the new house in Kondanani for Gogo Doris Mgwalangwa was held recently... and Flossie's house has begun.

At the dedication, it was clearly setforth that the house was given for Doris and her GRANDCHILDREN!!! not to be taken away!!...She was sooo humble and grateful and the handover was done by lovely Christian men andwomen....keys for Gogo Doris.....and SAFE/Gogo Grandmothers is to 'safeguard' her rights and monitor her livelihood. All because Judy went... saw and spoke up for one who had no voice.
