Freedom from Smoke Inhalation and Deforestation

Malawi has many health issues like asthma due to smoke inhalation. Forests in some areas are nearly gone. Our staff have been instructing the gogos how to make fuel-efficient stoves instead of cooking all their food over 3 rocks and some sticks.  A 2-burner stove made of 30 bricks and mud uses far less wood. How to build these stoves will be taught in each of our sponsored villages -- with the possibility of having the SAFE Life Youth Clubs build stoves for the gogos and other villagers. They hope to raise $1.00 for each gogo's stove to cover the cost of the bricks. This would also be enough to give the youth a small amount for their donated labor.
